Title: Good Day—Markets are Volatile Risk Management Doesn’t Have To Be

The risk producers take in this industry each day has increased significantly over time.  In addition, in today’s environment, risk beyond just market risk has become increasingly difficult to manage.  CattleFax invites you to attend the upcoming Risk Management Seminar scheduled for June 22-23, 2016.  This is a great opportunity for those who want to incorporate new ideas in building a risk management plan or in refining their current strategy.

In this seminar you will learn how to use the CattleFax “Decision Tree,” which incorporates Cash, Basis and Futures analysis.  This information will provide a platform for those wanting to manage market risk.  However, in our view risk management is much more than just hedging and options.

The amount of capital needed to operate in this industry is increasing at an alarming rate and could continue to increase.  Thus, managing money in this business is more critical today than in the past.  This session will provide you with the key information surrounding the macro trends and how the structure of the cattle and beef industry is changing, which will assist you in managing your business risk.  This session will also reinforce the importance of developing business relationships with other industry participants and how this can positively influence your risk management strategy.

Tuition for the two day session is $790 for CattleFax members and $890 for non-members.  The Risk Management Seminar will be held in our office at 9110 E. Nichols Ave, 3rd floor Centennial, CO.80112.  Lunch will be provided both days and dinner on Wednesday evening June 22nd  CattleFax will arrange and confirm your hotel room reservation at the La Quinta Inn & Suites-Denver Tech Center.  The La Quinta Inn has a special rate of $85/night for CattleFax Risk Management attendees.  This hotel rate is in addition to the tuition fee.  If you will be arriving late after 6:00pm on the date of arrival, you must call the hotel (303-649-9969) and guarantee late arrival with a credit card.  Be sure to tell the front desk that your hotel reservation has been made for you by CattleFax.

June is a great month to visit Colorado.  This would be a great opportunity to mix business with pleasure!  Plenty of sunshine with an average temperature of 83 degrees.  You might want to extend your stay and take in a Rockies baseball game, as they will play the Arizona Diamondbacks June 23-24 6:40pm.  Take the family to Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park.  Maybe a round of golf, or try your luck at nearly 40 casinos in Colorado.  Our three mountain gambling towns are easy to get to and even fun for the whole family. Central City and Black Hawk are located within a mile of each other, just 34 miles west of Denver. Cripple Creek is 48 miles west of Colorado Springs.  If you like to shop we have that too!  Park Meadows Mall is just minutes away from the LaQuinta Inn & Suites and there is the Castle Rock Outlet Mall about 20 minutes south of the Park Meadows Mall.  These are just a few of the numerous attractions Colorado has to offer.

Please call if you have any questions at 1-800-825-7525.

Look forward to seeing you in June!
