SDCA Hosts Region Roundup in Mitchell on July 17
 
The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA) will host the Mitchell Region Roundup on July 17th at Blarney’s Sports Bar and Grill in Mitchell, South Dakota. Region Roundup events are open to both the general public and SDCA members. 
 
The Mitchell Region Roundup begins with a social starting at 5:30 PM, followed by a meal and programming. The SDCA’s Southeast Region Directors, Austin Havlik and Colby Olson, welcome Blue Reef and Dr. Beth Thompson, the State Veterinarian and Executive Secretary of the Animal Industry Board, to the Roundup
 
Blue Reef is a team of dedicated market advisors back 80 plus years of combined experience. The Blue Reef team provides producers with tools to handle risk management, including livestock risk protection. Blue Reef will provide information and answer your questions at the event. 
 
Dr. Thompson will discuss the implementation of the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s final rule regarding electronic identification (EID) for disease traceability. This open forum will address questions and provide insights as producers prepare to comply with the updated rule.
