SDCA Hosts Region Roundup in Webster on July 22 The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA) will host the Webster Region Roundup on July 22 at Pereboom’s Cafe in Webster, South Dakota. Region Roundup events are open to both the public and SDCA members. The Webster Region Roundup event will begin with a social starting at 5:30 PM, followed by a meal and an open forum featuring Dr. Beth Thompson, State Veterinarian and Executive Secretary of the South Dakota Animal Industry Board. Dr. Thompson will discuss the implementation of the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s final rule regarding electronic identification (EID) for disease traceability. This open forum will address questions and provide insights as producers prepare to comply with the updated rule. The 2024 Region Roundup events are scheduled to take place across the state.
