SDCA Hosts Region Roundup in Winner on July 29
The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA) will host the Winner RegionRoundup on July 29 at the Winner Livestock Auction in Winner, South Dakota. Region Roundup events are open to both the public and SDCA members.
The Winner Region Roundup event will begin with a meal at 5:30 PM, followed by an open forum featuring Dr. Beth Thompson, State Veterinarian and Executive Secretary of the South Dakota Animal Industry Board.
Dr. Thompson will discuss the implementation of the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s final rule regarding electronic identification (EID) for disease traceability. This open forum will address questions and provide insights as producers prepare to comply with the updated rule.
The 2024 Region Roundup events are scheduled to take place across the state. The SDCA invites you to attend a Roundup at a location near you:
- Gettysburg | August 12 at 5:30 PM | Bob’s Steakhouse
- Spearfish | September 15 at 5:30 PM MST | Killian’s Food & Drink
