SDCA Presents “From the Ranch to Capitol Hill” Panel at Dakotafest

The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA) invites the public to attend the “From the Ranch to Capitol Hill” event at Dakotafest on Wednesday, August 21 at 1:30 PM. Join SDCA leaders as they host the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) and discuss opportunities for producers to be involved in policy discussions at the local, state, and national level at the Dakotafest Education Building on the Dakotafest grounds for this educational event.

The event will feature key representatives from the NCBA policy team based in Washington D.C. who will share insights on their efforts on Capitol Hill. Topics will include the Farm Bill, administrative regulations, and other initiatives that directly impact farmers and ranchers nationwide. The NCBA is committed to advancing the economic, political, and social interests of the United States cattle industry, advocating for policies that benefit producers.

Speakers for the event include:

  • Ethan Lane, Vice President of Government Affair: Lane has over two decades of experience in policy and advocacy related to natural resources, land use, and cattle.

  • Tanner Beymer, Senior Director of Government Affairs: As the liaison for the NCBA’s Live Cattle Marketing Committee, Beymer focuses on ensuring a transparent and efficient environment for cattle marketing.
